I figured I would dedicate my first post to my original papercut design. I first learned how to papercut in high school when my class asked our art teacher to dedicate a unit to Judaica. She taught us Hebrew calligraphy and papercutting- and I have been slightly obsessed ever since. When I am sitting in a boring class my doodles usually consist of fancy P'sukim (biblical verses) and intricate layered designs. For that first project I decided to be extra ambitious and do more than the standard two layer quadrilateral papercut. I have played with and developed this design since high school but I always love to come back this colorful geometric scene of Jerusalem.
Mazal tov! Not only are you bright, caring and spiritual, you're an awesome artist as well. I'm proud to know you.
